What makes Renaissance Lutheran special?
“Renaissance Lutheran is truly a family. I believe that God has called together our team, and we genuinely love and care for each other. We are a diverse school, and each day we work together toward unity and becoming more like Jesus.”
What is your philosophy about education and its importance?
“Education is a God-given privilege and is a major gateway to success. I believe that all students can learn and if given the opportunity and support, their education will set them up for success in their futures. I have found that if school is done right, it becomes a second family where students’ educational and spiritual growth is encouraged and supported. Every student deserves to attend a school where they feel safe and are shown the love of Jesus in their interactions with their teachers and school leaders.”
What do you love about what you do?
“There are many things I love about being the principal at Renaissance Lutheran. To name just a few I would say our team, community, and the desire for excellence that surrounds us here. We are a team of people who are lifting one another up and cheering each other on. Our families and staff have a real passion to see our scholars succeed. Most of all, I love having the ability to talk about the love of Jesus and share it with everyone around me.”
What is your hope for LUMIN scholars as they grow?
“My hope for our scholars is for them to learn great personal responsibility and show grit and determination on their life and career paths. Also, I want each of them to understand their immense value and live out the purpose God has for their lives.”
Favorite bible verse?
“The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still.” - Exodus 14:14
In your free time, what do you like to do?
“I am passionate about music and serve as the worship leader at my church. I enjoy being active and playing all kinds of sports. I have been boxing for about two years and I absolutely love it. Being outside and traveling are other things that I enjoy. I have been on several mission trips outside of the U.S.”
What is your greatest accomplishment?
“Serving as the principal at Renaissance is my greatest accomplishment. When the position was presented to me I took it as a leap of faith, not knowing what I was getting into, but God knew. Seeing the incredible transformation at Renaissance Lutheran has been so rewarding, and I am thankful to be a part of it.”
What’s your favorite book and movie?
“The Bible is my favorite book. I also have found the book Good to Great by Jim Collins to be extremely influential in my life. I like lots of movies! A few of my favorites are Wonder Woman, Selena, and The Chronicles of Narnia.”
